iMeasureDist uses the phones camera and accelerometer to measure the distance and the height of an object based on trigonometry.
The application main feature is simplicity… Once the application is started, a free running meter is displayed that measures the distance between you (your iPhones camera) and the object you are pointing to. You can also measure the height of this object. Without leaving your place you can measure the distance from a building, its height, the height of your daughter/son, etc. it is a cool tool that your iPhone should have!
FEATURES:
○ Simple measure of the distance from an object with just pointing the cross on the screen to the BASE of this object
○ Measure also the height of this object by moving from its base to its vertex
○ You can add height offset from the base of the object you are measuring its distance and height. For example, measuring the distance from a building and its height while you are setting in the next floor of another building.
○ For more accurate measures, you can calibrate the system by standing with your mobile @ 1.5m from the ground and pointing toward any object at distance 1 m

this app is really handy because it lets you measure things with just using your iPhone or iPod or iPad. the user interface is very weak, and could use more of an update. switching between modes is easy to do without a hassle. there are a few bugs, due to the lighting and color the situation you are examining, but these can be expected. 4stars/5stars!
This is a fun app to play with, and though I dont really see when I will actually use it the idea behind it is quite novel. However, the user interface of this app needs much improvement as it is very confusing. Also, it will take you quite a long time to figure out how to get it to work and for some time youd be wondering if you are using the app correctly. Generally though, the app does what it says.
Nice idea, but I dont think it works... I was using it in door at night though. Maybe I did not use it right.
Super inaccurate for me. Great concept, but kind of a fail. Not even very easy to use.
the idea is very smart, however it was not delivered good. the app was very buggy and the controls were incredibly confusing. i think the developer needs to go back to the drawing board and take his time because this app was not very well designed. Even the icon itself was not very attracting
